Mobility fund: specialist standing frame for Dola in Gazipur
Help Dola get a specialist standing frame so She can speak with the people around her.
🇧🇩 Gazipur, Dhaka, Bangladesh926 views
Dola lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Gazipur Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $950.
Her current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Dola could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $950 goes:
• specialist standing frame: $870
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• First-year servicing plan: $30

Keep going. Hope the doctors have good news. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. God bless
hope things get better soon, Sharmin. This could happen to any of us. Thinking of Gazipur.
Hope it all works out, Sharmin. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from San Diego.
Wishing you peace. Hope the doctors have good news!
hope it all works out, Sharmin. Looking forward to the next update. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
