Benjamin lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Birmingham Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $8,700. His current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment Benjamin could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $8,700 goes: • specialist standing frame: $8,000 • Fitting and training sessions: $360 • Delivery and set-up: $75 • First-year servicing plan: $265 Thank you for reading my story.

You're not alone. Shared this with my family. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
