A prosthetic leg would give Raquel independence - we are $1,350 away.

Santos
Raquel lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Santos Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,350. Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 6 weeks. With the right equipment Raquel could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $1,350 goes: • prosthetic leg: $1,100 • Fitting and training sessions: $80 • Delivery and set-up: $30 • First-year servicing plan: $140 If you're reading this, thank you.

      • You're not alone. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.
