Mobility fund: prosthetic leg for Prakash in Nagpur
A prosthetic leg would give Prakash independence - we're $750 away.
🇮🇳 Nagpur, Maharashtra, India64 views
Prakash lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at Nagpur General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $750.
His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Prakash could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $750 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $620
• Fitting and training sessions: $25
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• First-year servicing plan: $80
Glad we found this place.
