Mobility fund: prosthetic leg for Phượng in Hồ Chí Minh City
A prosthetic leg would give Phượng independence - we're $1,300 away.
🇻🇳 Vietnam660 views
I live with a rare neuromuscular condition. My occupational therapist at Hồ Chí Minh City General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,300.
My current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment I could join the school sports day. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $1,200
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• Delivery and set-up: $35
• First-year servicing plan: $30
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
