I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at the Newcastle Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,750. My current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 7 weeks. With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $2,750 goes: • Fitting and training sessions: $320 • prosthetic leg: $2,100 • First-year servicing plan: $330 I hope life is good to you. - Jun
