Mobility fund: prosthetic leg for Julian in London
Help Julian get a prosthetic leg so He can go to school independently.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom309 views
Julian lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the London Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $500.
His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Julian could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $500 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $210
• Delivery and set-up: $170
• Fitting and training sessions: $120
Glad we found this place.

hope it all works out. Shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of London.
Best of luck, Charles. Wishing Julian a smooth procedure and a full recovery.
Hope things get better soon, Charles. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust
