Mobility fund: powered wheelchair for Sundar in Kolkata
Help Sundar get a powered wheelchair so He can go to school independently.
Anywhere in the world1,063 views
I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at the Kolkata Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $850.
My current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $850 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• First-year servicing plan: $25
• powered wheelchair: $805
If you're reading this, thank you.
