Mobility fund: powered wheelchair for Sophie in Halifax
Help Sophie get a powered wheelchair so She can get to the shops and visit friends.

I live with multiple sclerosis. My occupational therapist at the Halifax Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $8,500.
My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment I could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $8,500 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $240
• powered wheelchair: $8,000
• First-year servicing plan: $260
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Rooting for you, Sophie. I hope things turn around soon. My husband and I read this together.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from Bogra.
so sorry you're going through this. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
Thinking of you, Sophie. Wishing Sophie a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Please keep us posted. Take care.
Wishing you the best. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 14 years in engineering I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Blessings.
