Radom
I live with profound hearing loss. My occupational therapist at the Radom Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,550. My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment I could join the school sports day. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $2,550 goes: • powered wheelchair: $2,300 • Fitting and training sessions: $80 • Delivery and set-up: $50 • First-year servicing plan: $120 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
