Mobility fund: powered wheelchair for Julieta in Envigado
A powered wheelchair would give Julieta independence - we are $200 away.
🇨🇴 Colombia307 views
I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at Envigado General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $200.
My current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment I could speak with the people around her. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $200 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $85
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• Fitting and training sessions: $90
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
