Cebu City
Gerald lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Cebu City Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,050. His current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment Gerald could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $1,050 goes: • powered wheelchair: $950 • Fitting and training sessions: $35 • Delivery and set-up: $15 • First-year servicing plan: $50 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Liza

  • shared this with my family. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Cebu City.
