I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at Lahore General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $800.
My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.

• Fitting and training sessions: $30

Hope things get better soon. This could happen to any of us. After 24 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything
