Mobility fund: powered wheelchair for Brenda in Anaheim
A powered wheelchair would give Brenda independence - we're $7,150 away.
Anywhere in the world822 views
Brenda lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at the Anaheim Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $7,150.
Her current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Brenda could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $7,150 goes:
• powered wheelchair: $6,250
• Fitting and training sessions: $390
• Delivery and set-up: $140
• First-year servicing plan: $370

keep going. Get well soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless
Best of luck, Theodore. Shared it with a few friends. Take care.
Take care, Theodore. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes.
sending love, Theodore. Shared this with my family. My neighbor in Soweto donated after I showed her your page.
thinking of you and your family. Wishing Brenda a smooth procedure and a full recovery. After 23 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Hope things get better soon. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
