Mobility fund: pair of hearing aids for Mugisha in Mombasa
Help Mugisha get a pair of hearing aids so He can speak with the people around him.
🇰🇪 Kenya810 views
Mugisha lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at Mombasa General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,250.
His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Mugisha could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $30
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• pair of hearing aids: $1,205
I hope life is good to you.

Thinking of you and your family, Akello. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Love from Hialeah!
