Mobility fund: pair of hearing aids for Kendall in Los Angeles
Kendall needs a pair of hearing aids that the health system won't fund; the cost is $750.
🇺🇸 California, United States1,150 views
Kendall lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Los Angeles Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $750.
Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Kendall could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $750 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $100
• First-year servicing plan: $350
• Fitting and training sessions: $300
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
