Entebbe
Jepkoech lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Entebbe Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $550. Her current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment Jepkoech could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $550 goes: • Delivery and set-up: $25 • pair of hearing aids: $500 • First-year servicing plan: $25 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
