Jerusalem
Sivan lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Jerusalem Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,900. Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 6 weeks. With the right equipment Sivan could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $3,900 goes: • communication tablet with eye tracking: $3,300 • Fitting and training sessions: $165 • Delivery and set-up: $120 • First-year servicing plan: $315 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Updates from Bat-El

  2. 1% there. I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. Thank you.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($10 in total) I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
