Gilles lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Lyon Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $8,350.
His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Gilles could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
