Beatriz lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Valencia Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,000.
Her current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment Beatriz could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
