Mobility fund: communication tablet with eye tracking for Antonio in Rome
Antonio needs a communication tablet with eye tracking that the health system won't fund; the cost is $3,550.

Antonio lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Rome Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,550.
His current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Antonio could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $3,550 goes:
• communication tablet with eye tracking: $3,150
• Fitting and training sessions: $220
• Delivery and set-up: $50
• First-year servicing plan: $130
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thinking of you, Giorgia. Shared it with a few friends. After 19 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
