Mobility fund: communication tablet with eye tracking for Aadhya in Surat
Aadhya needs a communication tablet with eye tracking that the health system won't fund; the cost is $50.
🇮🇳 Surat, Gujarat, India681 views
Aadhya lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Surat Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a communication tablet with eye tracking. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $50.
Her current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment Aadhya could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $50 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $25
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• Fitting and training sessions: $5
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
