I live with cerebral palsy. My occupational therapist at Kyiv General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $700.
My current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment I could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $700 goes:
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $560
• First-year servicing plan: $70
• Fitting and training sessions: $70
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
