Mobility fund: cochlear implant processor upgrade for Yupin in Bangkok
Help Yupin get a cochlear implant processor upgrade so She can go to school independently.
Anywhere in the world138 views
Yupin lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at the Bangkok Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,600.
Her current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Yupin could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $1,450
• Fitting and training sessions: $75
• Delivery and set-up: $40
• First-year servicing plan: $35
