Mobility fund: cochlear implant processor upgrade for Yang in Québec
A cochlear implant processor upgrade would give Yang independence - we're $3,700 away.

I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at the Québec Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,700.
My current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $3,700 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $125
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $3,250
• First-year servicing plan: $325
Glad we found this place.

Wishing you peace. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
