Mobility fund: cochlear implant processor upgrade for Sanjay in Kathmandu
Sanjay needs a cochlear implant processor upgrade that the health system won't fund; the cost is $750.

I live with an amputation below the knee. My occupational therapist at the Kathmandu Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $750.
My current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $750 goes:
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $650
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• First-year servicing plan: $35
Thank you for reading my story.

Good luck. Hope this works out for you. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out.
sending love, Sanjay. Hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
