Mobility fund: cochlear implant processor upgrade for Renata in Salvador
A cochlear implant processor upgrade would give Renata independence - we're $2,900 away.

Renata lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at Salvador General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,900.
Her current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment Renata could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $2,800
• Delivery and set-up: $55
Thanks for being kind about this.
- Tiago
