6th of October City
Nour lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at 6th of October City General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $800. Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks. With the right equipment Nour could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $800 goes: • Fitting and training sessions: $30 • Delivery and set-up: $20 • cochlear implant processor upgrade: $750 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Omar
