Mukesh lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Calgary Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $5,500. His current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment Mukesh could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
