Mobility fund: cochlear implant processor upgrade for Jide in Ibadan
Jide needs a cochlear implant processor upgrade that the health system won't fund; the cost is $365.

Jide lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at the Ibadan Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $365.
His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Jide could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $365 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $40
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $320
• Delivery and set-up: $5
Thank you so much.
