Mobility fund: cochlear implant processor upgrade for Ibrahim in Saint-Denis
Ibrahim needs a cochlear implant processor upgrade that the health system won't fund; the cost is $650.

Ibrahim lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at Saint-Denis General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $650.
His current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Ibrahim could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $650 goes:
β’ First-year servicing plan: $230
β’ Delivery and set-up: $130
β’ Fitting and training sessions: $290
Thank you for reading my story.

Hope things get better soon, Nabil. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
