Manila
Corazon lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at the Manila Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,600. Her current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks. With the right equipment Corazon could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $1,600 goes: • cochlear implant processor upgrade: $1,500 • Fitting and training sessions: $25 • Delivery and set-up: $20 • First-year servicing plan: $55 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
