Mobility fund: cochlear implant processor upgrade for Barry in Cork
A cochlear implant processor upgrade would give Barry independence - we're $650 away.

I live with cerebral palsy. My occupational therapist at Cork General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $650.
My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment I could speak with the people around him. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $650 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $125
• Fitting and training sessions: $400
• First-year servicing plan: $125
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Hope things get better soon, Barry. Get well soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.
