Mobility fund: cochlear implant processor upgrade for Angelica in Makati

A cochlear implant processor upgrade would give Angelica independence - we're $100 away.

Makati
Angelica lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Makati Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100. Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment Angelica could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $100 goes: • Delivery and set-up: $30 • Fitting and training sessions: $20 • First-year servicing plan: $50 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
