Mobility fund: cochlear implant processor upgrade for Anand in Vadodara
Anand needs a cochlear implant processor upgrade that the health system won't fund; the cost is $1,150.

I live with cerebral palsy. My occupational therapist at the Vadodara Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a cochlear implant processor upgrade. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,150.
My current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• cochlear implant processor upgrade: $1,050
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• Delivery and set-up: $10
• First-year servicing plan: $45
