Kumasi
Yaw lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Kumasi Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $850. His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks. With the right equipment Yaw could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $850 goes: • Fitting and training sessions: $65 • Delivery and set-up: $15 • braille note-taker: $770 Glad we found this place.
