Mobility fund: braille note-taker for Uchenna in Lagos
A braille note-taker would give Uchenna independence - we're $350 away.

I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at Lagos General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $350.
My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $350 goes:
• braille note-taker: $250
• Fitting and training sessions: $25
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• First-year servicing plan: $55
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Uchenna.
It's all in the list in the story. braille note-taker is the big one at $250, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Thanks for asking.
Thinking of you, Uchenna. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Love from London.
Keep going, Uchenna. I hope things turn around soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.
