Mobility fund: braille note-taker for Madelyn in Liverpool
Madelyn needs a braille note-taker that the health system won't fund; the cost is $8,050.

I live with cerebral palsy. My occupational therapist at the Liverpool Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $8,050.
My current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment I could speak with the people around her. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $8,050 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $230
• Delivery and set-up: $85
• braille note-taker: $7,735
With deep gratitude,
Madelyn

so sorry you're going through this, Madelyn. Hope the doctors have good news.
wishing you the best, Madelyn. I hope things turn around soon. Sent it to 30 people at work.
Hope things get better soon, Madelyn. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Liverpool.
