Gwagwalada
Juliet lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Gwagwalada Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $400. Her current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment Juliet could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $400 goes: • braille note-taker: $300 • Fitting and training sessions: $30 • Delivery and set-up: $15 • First-year servicing plan: $55 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
