Mobility fund: braille note-taker for Caio in Campinas
A braille note-taker would give Caio independence - we're $2,400 away.

Caio lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at the Campinas Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,400.
His current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Caio could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $2,400 goes:
• braille note-taker: $2,150
• Fitting and training sessions: $110
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• First-year servicing plan: $120
Thanks for reading all this.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Caio
Sure. The biggest one is braille note-taker, $2,150. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Happy to explain more.
You're not alone. Shared this with my family. Thinking of Campinas.
