Mobility fund: braille note-taker for Afia in Accra
Afia needs a braille note-taker that the health system won't fund; the cost is $100.

Afia lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Accra Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100.
Her current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Afia could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $100 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• Fitting and training sessions: $30
• First-year servicing plan: $50
