Mobility fund: adapted tricycle for Vanessa in Campinas
Vanessa needs an adapted tricycle that the health system won't fund; the cost is $2,700.

Vanessa lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Campinas Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,700.
Her current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Vanessa could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $2,700 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $80
• adapted tricycle: $2,550
• First-year servicing plan: $70
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Best of luck, Camila. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care
