Mobility fund: adapted tricycle for Santiago in Barcelona
Help Santiago get an adapted tricycle so He can go outside without waiting for someone to push.
🇪🇸 Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain1,184 views
I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at the Barcelona Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $5,400.
My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $5,400 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $280
• Delivery and set-up: $125
• adapted tricycle: $4,995
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
