Kasarani
Njeri lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Kasarani Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $800. Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment Njeri could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $800 goes: • adapted tricycle: $640 • Fitting and training sessions: $55 • Delivery and set-up: $35 • First-year servicing plan: $70 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
