Mobility fund: adapted tricycle for Karim in Zagazig
An adapted tricycle would give Karim independence - we're $350 away.
🇪🇬 Egypt1,168 views
Karim lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at Zagazig General Hospital has assessed him and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $350.
His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Karim could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $350 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $10
• Fitting and training sessions: $25
• adapted tricycle: $315

Thinking of you, Nabil. Your post was clear and honest. Greetings from Los Angeles.
Sending good thoughts. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Thinking of Zagazig.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 12 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
