Mizanur's path to healing - weekly cognitive behavioral therapy in Narayanganj
Mizanur is working through a violent robbery and needs help paying for 12 sessions with a licensed counselor.
🇧🇩 Bangladesh426 views
After a violent robbery, Mizanur has struggled with anxiety, sleep and panic attacks. The doctor has referred him to weekly cognitive behavioral therapy, but the public waiting list is 8 months, and private sessions at Narayanganj Wellbeing Centre cost $10 each.
Mizanur has been honest with his employer and taken some time off, but can't keep going without support.
Therapy has already helped a little in the sessions Mizanur could afford. The therapist recommends 12 weekly sessions, and consistent help will make the difference.
Asking for help with this has been the hardest part for Mizanur, and we're grateful for your kindness without judgment.
The money will be paid directly to the counselor's practice, with a session-by-session record.
Where the $350 goes:
• 12 therapy sessions: $300
• Psychiatric assessment: $15
• Workbook and resources: $35
Thank you so much.
