Mina's emergency hernia repair can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled emergency hernia repair in November is out of reach without help covering $600 of the cost.

Mina was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in July. The surgeon at Saint Elizabeth Hospital recommended emergency hernia repair, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,200, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $600 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Saint Elizabeth Hospital since July. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,200 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Mina struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Mina won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.

• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $60
• Travel and lodging for the family: $40
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $480
• Post-operative medication: $20
