Michael lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Accra Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,200. His current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 10 weeks. With the right equipment Michael could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $1,200 goes: • stair-climbing aid: $1,100 • Fitting and training sessions: $45 • Delivery and set-up: $20 • First-year servicing plan: $35 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
