Metin received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
The closure of the factory left Metin short on rent for 2 months; help us stay in our home.

When my hours were cut in half in July, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Monday a termination letter was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $900.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I've 2 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working night deliveries, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $900 goes:
• Rent arrears (2 months): $660
• First month of rent as a buffer: $185
• Late fees and court costs: $55
I hope life is good to you.

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Metin?
Thank you. If you're in Üsküdar I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. I'll keep the page updated.
Hope it all works out. This could happen to any of us. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Blessings
wishing you the best. Looking forward to the next update. Sent it to 21 people at work. Take care.
I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Üsküdar.
