Mental health support for Shivam after a violent robbery
Shivam is working through a violent robbery and needs help paying for 10 sessions with a licensed counselor.
🇺🇸 Fayetteville, North Carolina, United States1,480 views
After a violent robbery, I've struggled with anxiety, sleep and panic attacks. My doctor has referred me to weekly cognitive behavioral therapy, but the public waiting list is 8 months, and private sessions at Fayetteville Wellbeing Centre cost $120 each.
I have been honest with my employer and taken some time off, but I can't keep going without support.
Therapy has already helped a little in the sessions I could afford. My therapist recommends 10 weekly sessions, and I know that consistent help will make the difference.
Asking for help with this has been the hardest part, and I'm grateful for your kindness without judgment.
Funds cover only therapy sessions, and I'll share progress updates (not private details) if I'm comfortable.
Where the $1,450 goes:
• 10 therapy sessions: $1,150
• Psychiatric assessment: $230
• Workbook and resources: $70
Thank you for reading my story.

Sending strength, Shivam. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Wishing you the best, Shivam. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Greetings from Lahore!
Thanks for sharing this, Shivam. Shared it with a few friends. Sent it to 29 people at work. Thinking of Fayetteville
Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Fayetteville
Thank you. If you're in Fayetteville I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Appreciate you taking the time.
hope things get better soon. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in Birmingham this morning.
Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Wish I lived closer to Thủ Đức so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Fayetteville.
shared this with my family. Please keep us posted. Love from Yekaterinburg.
Hang in there, Shivam. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't give up
Stay strong, Shivam. This could happen to any of us!
Keep going. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.
I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My husband and I read this together. Blessings
